In cadaveric biomechanics, fresh-frozen (FF) thawed specimens are considered the industry standard; maintaining high fidelity to in vivo counterparts. However, longevity concerns associated with rapid decomposition of soft tissues result in low reproducibility of testing and a short working window for these specimens.
